Activities:  Students to work on assigned Ch. 8 problems.  If don’t finish in class, for homework.  Due by the first of class Tuesday.

Tuesday-

Topics:  Review of Ch. 8 material

Activities:  Ch. 8 worksheets due.  Exchange and grade.  Go over any questions or problems over homework as needed.

Wednesday-

Topics:  Review of Ch. 8 material

Activities:  Students will participate in Ch. 8 test review game.  Winning person or team will get 5 bonus points added to their test.

Thursday-

Activities:  Ch. 8 Test-  Preparing a 6-column worksheet

Friday-

Topics:  Ch. 8 Test results

Activities: Students will correct questions missed on test.

Activities:  Students to take notes, participate in discussions and practice problems, then complete the Ch. 7 Section 3 Check your understanding on p. 170 in textbook and corresponding pages in workbook.

Wednesday-Thursday

Topics:  Students to begin the Ch. 7 reinforcement problems:  vocabulary page, Problems 7-5, 7-6, and 7-9.  All problems will by due by the first of class Friday.

Friday-

Topics:  Review of Ch. 7 Topics

Activities:  Ch. 7 worksheets due.  Exchange and grade.  Time to go over any questions/problems off of homework.

Activities:  Students to continue working on assigned Ch. 6 worksheets using their notes and/or book.  If don’t finish in class, completed worksheets are for homework and due by the first  of class Tuesday.

Tuesday-

Topics:  Review of Ch. 6 material (Accounting Cycle & Recording transactions in a journal)

Activities:  Ch. 6 worksheets due. Exchange and grade.  After grading we will go over any questions and/or problems that students need to go over.

Wednesday-

Topics:  Review of Ch. 6 material (Accounting Cycle & Recording transactions in a journal)

Activities:  Students will participate in a review game to go over topics for test.  Winning team will receive 5 bonus points towards their test grade.

Thursday-

Activities:  Ch. 6 Test (over Accounting Cycle & Recording transactions in a journal)

Friday-

Topics:  Test results

Activities:  Students will receive back their graded tests;  Go over any questions and/or problems together.  Students will then make corrections to missed test questions. Due by the end of class.

Activities:  Students will participate in Monopoly review game over Ch. 5 material.  Ch. 5 test will be tomorrow.

Wednesday-

Activity-  Ch. 5 test:  Transactions that affect revenue, expenses, and withdrawals

Thursday-

Topics:  Test results

Activities:  Students will receive back their graded Ch. 5 tests.  We will go over any questions and/or problems on test that need to be gone over for clarification.  Students will then use their notes and/or book to correct the questions that they missed (on a sheet of notebook paper).

Friday-

Topics:  Objectives for Ch. 6 (Recording Transactions in a general journal)

Activities:  Students to define the vocabulary words for Ch. 6 on pp. 122 & 126 in their book.  May type in Google docs or write on a sheet of paper.  If complete on computer will need to print out.

Activities:  Students to take notes, participate in practice problems, then complete the Ch. 5 Section 1 Check your understanding on p. 103 in textbook and corresponding pages in workbook.  Complete the 2 Thinking critically questions, skip the Communicating accounting, and complete problem 5-1.  If don’t finish in class, for homework.

Tuesday-Wednesday

Topics:  Applying the rules of debit and credit to revenue, expense, and owner’s equity transactions

Activities:  Students to take notes, participate in practice problems, then complete the Ch. 5, Section 2 Check your understanding on p. 109 in book and corresponding pages in workbook.  Complete the 2 Thinking Critically questions, skip Analyzing accounting, do problem 5-2.  Due by the end of class Wednesday.
