Monday-

Objective:  Journalizing and Posting the Payroll

Assessment:  Students to take notes, participate in practice problems, then complete the Ch. 13 Section 1 Check your understanding on p. 321 in book and corresponding pages in workbook.

Tuesday-

Objective:  Employer’s Payroll Taxes

Assessment:  Students to take notes, participate in practice problems, then complete the Ch. 13 Section 2 Check your understanding on p. 326 in book and corresponding pages in workbook.

Wednesday-

*Students to bring something to work on or read.  No new assignment due to so many being out for band and track*

Thursday-

Objective: Tax Liability Payments and Tax Reports

Assessment:  Students to take notes, participate in practice problems, then complete the Ch. 13 Section 3 Check your understanding on p. 337 in book and corresponding pages in workbook.

Friday-

Objective:  wrap up of six weeks

Assessment:  Students will need to turn in any unused restroom passes for bonus points.  They will then receive printouts of their current average for the six weeks.  Average and any missing assignments will be discussed.  Time will be given to makeup any missing tests or assignements.  Students have the opportunity to get the progress report signed for an extra daily 100 if brought back by next Tuesday.

Monday-

Objective- Reinforcement of Ch. 12 material

Assessment-  Students are to complete the assigned Ch. 12 worksheets from last week.  Completed worksheets will be due by the first of class Tuesday.

Tuesday-

Objective-  Review of Ch. 12 material

Assessment- Ch. 12 worksheets due. Exchange and grade.  Time for any questions over graded worksheets or upcoming test.  Studnets will then participate in a review game over Ch. 12 material.

**Sophomores will be taking ELA STAAR test**

Wednesday-

Objective-  Test knowledge of Ch. 12 material (Payroll Accounting )

Assessment-  Ch. 12 Test over Payroll Accounting

Thursday-

Objective-  Test results; objectives for next section

Assessment-  Students to define the vocabulary for Ch. 13 using their book.  Due by the end of class.

Friday-

Objective-  Students will be given a printout of their current grades and average.  They will be given time to complete any necessary makeup work.

Assessment-  Students to take notes, participate in discussions and practice problems, then complete the Ch. 12 Section Two check your understanding on p. 298 in textbook and corresponding pages in workbook.

Wednesday-

Objective-  Payroll Records

Assessment-  Students to take notes, participate in discussions and practice problems, then complete the Ch. 12 Section Three check your understanding on p. 304 in textbook and corresponding pages in workbook.

Thursday- Friday

Objective-  Payroll Accounting

Assessment-  Students to work on the assigned Ch. 12 worksheets. Complete worksheets will be due by the first of class Monday.

Monday-Wednesday

Objective/Assessment-

Non-UIL accounting students-  Students are to review their knowledge of Accounting I material learned thus far by completing Mini-practice set 2 on pp. 282-283 in textbook and pp. 249-264 in workbook.  Practice set will be due by the first of class Monday, March 24.

UIL Accounting students will work on UIL accounting concepts in preparation of Thursday’s meet

Thursday-

**No class due to District UIL academic meet being held at White Oak**

Friday-

Objective/Assessment- Non-UIL accounting students-  Students are to finish reviewing their knowledge of Accounting I material learned thus far by completing Mini-practice set 2 on pp. 282-283 in textbook and pp. 249-264 in workbook.  Practice set will be due by the first of class Monday, March 24.

UIL Accounting students-  discuss results of Thursday’s meet.  Discuss wildcard and regional meet.

Assessment-  Ch. 11 worksheets due.  Exchange and grade.  Play review game to review material for test.

Thursday-

Objective-  Test knowledge of Cash control and Banking activites

Assessment-  Ch. 11 Test

Friday-

Objective/Assessment-  Students will be given a printout of their progress report which will show their averages and/or any missing assignments.  Time will be given for any makeup work as needed.

Assessment-  Begin work on Ch. 11 worksheets.  If don’t finish by end of class Friday, for homework.  Due by the first of class Monday.
